Over the past several months I've been meeting more and more bloggers out there, James, was the the first in all my meetings recently and the latest has been Thomas.
I got back to Germany on the Tuesday late afternoon, Thursday morning I drove straight to Frankfurt then to Mannheim, then back to Frankfurt, then out to Dudenhofen, then over to Walldorf then back to Dudenhofen. Friday morning I went straight to Walldorf then back to Lippstadt.
While I was there in Walldorf I had short meeting with Thomas, I'd been reading his blog for awhile and had, had some email exchanges with him so finally getting to meet him in person was quite cool.
The conversation jumped into a discussion about Starships and Enterprisy and all sorts of interesting things which of course lead me to my day job and evangelising SDN, actually in this round it was more of the BPX side as Thomas is a great fit for that. One of the things I seem to be taking great pleasure in lately is the fact that no one really has that broad of an idea of everything that is going on within the realm of the Community Network here at SAP (SDN and BPX). So I think or at least I hope I got Thomas thinking of a few things going on and I look forward to hearing back from him...
Just a side note, I meet a guy on the plan named Varun who works at HP and deals with SAP BW, he was on his way to Bangalore as there team here had grown 300%. He said he would have some of his people get in touch with me after I showed him around SDN a bit.
