Techies in Jax

It was rather surprising for me to get a mail from someone while attending the Office 2.0 conference in San Fran the other week who happened to be from Jacksonville. In fact he was a bit confused when he got an email update of those of us attending and saw a Jacksonville university in the list.

Well in turns out he moved to Jax round about the time I left and he's one of the few techie's you find around here. There are a couple like the refreshjacksonville.org group but not too many others. I missed their last meeting so perhaps next time I am in town.

I had a chance to meet up with Chris Custine and his wife Leah Mangan today at a local Starbucks and had a chance to talk shop. Turns out Chris was rather surprised and everything SAP has been doing lately. He'd been doing his research since the Office 2.0 conference and wanted to touch base a bit.

Great conversation and I think we might be hearing more from the two of them in the future... ;-)
